How come we've never seen Jareth without gloves on?

Was the reason Jareth was never seen with his gloves off (or very rarely, anyway) because of the juggler manipulating his balls (hmm, kinky..) or does it have some kind of deeper significance I'm not bright enough to see? Ideas/flames anyone?

I've tried to figure out if there is some deeper meaning. I was going to pose this question to Elizabeth Allen, since she has a section on her page concerning Jareth's passion for fashion. BTW, I don't think Jareth is ever without his gloves.

I love symbolism (and tend to get a little carried away with it:) A Dictionary of Symbols doesn't offer much help. An interesting bit is that taking off one's gloves shows respect to a superior. The Element Encyclopedia of Symbols says that they are a symbol of law and rule. I think I read in a folktale book that gloves were also a symbol of protection as well.

I always thought he wore the gloves because, either Michael (the crystal guy) needs them to do his act or their hands look different than each others. Just my opinion.

I read a while ago that people were wondering why Jareth wore gloves all the time. The reason, I believe, is becuase of a need. I thought about it, and determined that his skin would reflect the light more, causing glare+such. So he wore the gloves to cut the glare.
At least that is my theory.
